Five Quanah Parker Trail Arrows mark sites in Lamb County. In Littlefield, the countyseat, the arrow is the standard size -- 22 feet tall. Olton, former countyseat, also has a big arrow.

Earth, Rocky Ford and Sudan have smaller arrows, all by metal sculptor Charles Smith.

Arrows, Arrows, Arrows

A grid of U.S. Highways and Texas Farm to Market Roads makes it easy for travelers to crisscross Lamb County to view all the arrows. Diagonally, Blackwater Draw crosses the county. Before the era of railroads and highways, the draw was the main traffic artery and a primary route through the vast area called Comancheria.
